Your contribution to success
- Technical and disciplinary management of the mechanical design department (5 group leaders, 15 internal and approx. 6 external employees)
- Personnel planning, coaching and training of employees
- Ensuring compliance with deadlines, budgets and quality standards
- Optimisation of all workflows and processes
- Promoting cooperation with electrical design, automation and process development
- Promoting standardisation
- Communication and coordination with other departments (production/purchasing/project management/sales)

This qualifies you
- Degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Many years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in special plant construction
- Management experience in a manufacturing industrial company
- Industry-specific expertise and good knowledge of national and international norms, standards and regulations
- Experience with standardisation
- Confident use of Autodesk Inventor and Vault
- Leadership personality with social skills, strong communication skills and assertiveness
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Many years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in special plant construction
